Wendie Joan Brubeck Obituary (2017)

Wendie Joan Brubeck, 63, of Decatur passed away peacefully at home on Friday, March 17, 2017. Funeral service and visitation to celebrate Wendie’s life will be Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Heartland Community Church (3253 North Brush College Road, Decatur, IL. 62526) from 10:00 am. to 11:30. Burial will follow at Lester Barnett Cemetery. Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and Care is in charge of the arrangements. Wendie was born in July of 1953 the daughter of Wendell and Joan McCauley. Wendie graduated from Stephen Decatur High School. She wed Bill Brubeck in March of 1979. Wendie was formerly employed at B&B Distributing of Baltimore, MD. During their marriage Wendie and Bill moved several times around the country before settling back home in Decatur to be near family. Wendie loved her pets and visiting family and friends. She loved being outdoors and fishing with her husband Bill. Surviving are her husband Bill, sister, Kathy (Mike), brothers, David (Chelly), Tim, Vincent (Ann), and Andy (Tammy). She is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews, best friend Mary, and beloved dog Taffy. She was preceded in death by her parents and half brother John. Wendie was a pistol and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
