William M. (Bill) Cazier, 87 of Forsyth died at 2:35 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, 2019 in the Hickory Point Christian Village.\nFuneral service to celebrate Bill’s life will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 28, 2019 at First Christian Church (3350 N. MacArthur Road Decatur, IL. 62526). Visitation will be at the church 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, June 27, 2019 and one hour before the service. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Cemetery. Memorials may be made to First Christian Church or Hickory Point Christian Village. Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and Care is in charge of the arrangements.\nBill was born on January 20, 1932 in Decatur the son of Edwin Marvin and Clara Veta Cazier. He served in the U.S. Army in Japan. Bill graduated the University of Illinois with a degree in Engineering. His entire career was with Homer Chastain Engineering and he retired as Senior Managing Partner. He was a member of the Sertoma Club, several Professional Engineering Societies and was a very active member of First Christian Church where he served on many of the church’s boards. Bill enjoyed fishing, hunting and wood working, but mostly his family. He married Lois Jane Beck on September 1, 1957.\nSurviving are his wife Lois Jane Cazier, sons, W. Lynn (Dori) Cazier, Mark E. Cazier, daughter, Kimberly (Steve) Graven, grandchildren, Crystal (Hdavid Garcia) Cazier, Leslie (Ben) Nuss, Cara Cazier, Laura Graven, Elizabeth Graven, great grandchildren, Naomi and Jubilee Nuss.\nHe was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.\nThe family wishes to thank Hickory Point Christian Village for the loving care given to Bill over the past two years.
