A Family-led Memorial Service Celebrating Ron’s Life

Saturday, November 3, 2018 beginning at 2pm

Argenta Baptist Church

 

Ronald “Ron” Gene Beesley, 78, of Cerro Gordo, died Thursday, October 25, 2018 at 5:37pm in St. Mary’s Hospital.

Ron was born in South Macon Township In November of 1939, son of Harry Beesley and Pearl Elam. He married Carol Lynn Rucker in January of 1969. She survives. There will be a family-led Memorial Service at Argenta Baptist Church, November 3rd beginning at 2pm . Tanzyus Logan Funeral Service and Care is assisting the family with the arrangements.  Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association in honor of Pearl Cook (mother) or to the American Heart Association.

Ron was a licensed Baptist minister, a member of Argenta Baptist Church, Argenta, Illinois, and a former deacon at Edinburg Baptist Church, Edinburg, Illinois. He liked working on bicycles and lawn mowers, working with flowers and gardening. Ron also loved singing with the Christian vocal group Living Proof Ministries with his wife, Carol.

He is survived by his wife, Carol of 49 years; seven children, several grandchildren and great grandchildren; two sisters, Carol and Shirley, and two brothers, Ray and Keith. He was preceded by his parents, two daughters, one brother and one sister.
